Default Electric Water Pump

I thinking about changing to an electric water pump. I need to tear into the front end to finish installing new plug wires on the drivers side & I'm thinking this would be a good time.

Anyone have suggestions on brand? Part #'s? Prices? Anything else I need to do for the conversion?

I have used both CSI and the Meziere HD with good luck. The biggest difference is the CSI fits a little better on the outside and the Meziere is more of a drop in part. The CSI required grinding the pump housing a bit to get it to fit into the housing and the Meziere dropped in with no Mods to the housing other then the standard removing the stock internals and plugging the hole. I did have to adjust the Meziere a little because it was hitting but that just required loosening the bolts and shifting the pump a little until I could tell the motor was spinning nice and smooth. After reading about some problems with the pumps binding I decided I would dry run both pumps before installation. I just hooked up the 12 VDC and checked to see if I could here the pump binding or scraping. The CSI pump worked perfect the first shot but as I stated I had to do one minor adjustment on the Meziere. Just a note, the reason I have use two pumps is I sold the CSI with the motor and decided to go with a bigger pump for the 383.

I've been happy with my Meziere HD so far.

Thanks for the kind words. I didn't have any problems installing the Meziere HD pump. The fit was perfect with no binding. It's still running and it is doing a better job than the OEM pump with no leak potential.
