I did respond to your Email, so perhaps that helps. But my spanish is also bad, I have to learn it in the bar in an Andaluz environment. Even Spanish people don´t understand much of it.
I am afraid the hidden VIN number does not help here in Spain. It is not complete, only the last 9 digits are there and the check digit is different!! So it confuses the people here even more.
Standard procedure is that the VIN number has to be stamped into the chassis left front on top of the frame, next to the radiator. Is normally done at import in Europe. The stamping here in Spain is done by the ITV, the test institute in Spain. I had an old military landrover and they could not read it well. So stamped it in again.
Good luck
Nico
Thanks Nico, so I need to prove that this chassis number, although different, is official from GM. If so, do you think that they will restamp me a valid number for Spain in the ITV? My doubt is, how the hell maked the last owner to pass his ITVs? Maybe some trick...
Ok, in any case, I will first find the number and then I will let all you know.
