Valve Spring Upgrade - Question
This winter's project is installing a set of GMPP 1.6 Roller (LT4) rockers on my '95 LT-1. I've got the rockers and I'm now going to order a set of new LT-4 springs.
My question is should I order a new set of retainers and locks along with the springs? Obviously I will replace the seals and pick up a shim kit but I'm not sure if I can use my LT-1 retainers and locks.
Opinions?

I ran the LT4 springs for a while with the LT1 retainers and locks. No problems. If you go to a bigger cam later though, even the Hotcam, I'd recommend a further spring upgrade.
