The Feb/06 issue of Grassroots Motorsports has a worthy article about
how to test & calibrate precision measuring instruments.
Of particular interest is the unfortunate story about what led the
author to write the article. Despite care and diligence, an acquaintence
had a newly built engine seize after only a few minutes break-in time.
Probable cause: faulty instrument calibration.
