My AC Compressor Vibrates at 3000+ RPM
I have an 89 Vette. When I use my AC, I get a horrible harmonic vibration in the car. The compressor spins OK from what I can tell. I mean its not that easy to turn but it tunrs and does not grind or anything. At idle its OK. Its just at 3000+. Has anyone had this problem with thier car?

Re: My AC Compressor Vibrates at 3000+ RPM (89vette)
My 96 LT4 does this REAL bad between 2200 and 3000 rpm's. It started when i put on the headers. It's fine above and below that. I asked this question a while back and unfortunately the concensus was to buy an new compressor. I have been shifting at 2000 for a while now to keep it from vibrating which is a real PIA!! Hopefully somebody have a better solution.

Re: My AC Compressor Vibrates at 3000+ RPM (89vette)
Way back when, I put on a set of LPE headers. I left off one of the brackets from the AC compressor to the header bolt. I had this bad harmonic like I have now. I put the bracket back on and it went away. Now even with all the brackets its back. Like you with the AC on I can't rev it up. It also sucks alot of power out of my motor. Wow.
