95 Vette (LT1) Won't Start-Need Help
My 95 vette sat for about 2-3 months and had a dead battery. I replaced the battery and it only starts and runs for 3-5 seconds and shutsdown. Also there are no courtesy lights or cluster lights. I checked all fuses and they seem ok. When I turn the key to the ON postion the message says SERVICE ASR. I suspect the security has been disabled and is causin these problems. You may have more than one problem going on. I'd check the fuel pressure first since it does start. Monitor it with the key on, enginge off to see if the system holds pressure. Then fire it up and see what happens to the pressure in relation to it shutting down. Check for codes also.
