It sounds like you still have air in the system. What bleeding method did you use? The clutch hydraulics can be a real PITA to bleed sometimes.

I bought a Phoenix Injector tool for that purpose and I love it.

If I remember correctly, I got it from www.northerntool.com. You can visit the manufacturer's web site at www.phxsyss.com to get a full description.

They are not cheap, but worth it for me. Other guys have also had good luck with a Mity Vac tool.

Bleed with slave cylinder off bellhousing; with bleed nipple elevated uppermost; and insure slave piston is pushed ALL the way into slave cylinder.

If it is fully bled, and the system is functioning properly with the correct components, there aren't many other options for you. To my knowledge, there is no factory method of adjusting pedal height.

2" to 3" of clutch pedal movement before the beginning of clutch engagement is probably about right, but maybe some other members will chime in on this one.

Mcleod does make a larger bore master cylinder with an adjustable push rod. The larger bore will push more fluid, which will raise the point of engagement / disengagement. I am not suggesting this is the answer to your problem, just letting you know it's out there for consideration.
