K& N filter
Or any other oil based system. I understand from a mechanic friend of mine that the k & n is a bad idea. He said with the intake system on my 92 would actually pull oil into the throttle body and intake system, which could eventually lead to problems, and the best result was to run them dry (but this would defeat some of the reason for using/buying the k & n). I have been using their filters on a variety of vehicles for years so I checked furthur, and found that if I did oil the filter, within a couple of days there were traces of oil film on the throttle body and surfaces of the intake manifold.
Are there actually reasons that we shouldn't run these filters?

Only thing you have to worry about is overoiling the filter. If its overoiled it can kill a MAF, which you dont have.

- I have read the same thing mant times before. And I have never had such a problem on my last application with a K&N.
