good service manual
For my early 1984 I need a good service manual. I did read a lot of good things about Helms, but they do not accept the oldest real American credit card American Express. And thats what I have. Anybody know a manual just as good or an other place to buy? Don´t have experience which books are ok, it´s my first vette
The Helm manual is by far the best as it is the actual GM service manual for your vehicle. I've had the Chilton and you can't beat the Helm. Check Ebay from time to time and even on the parts for sale on this board you might find one. Don't know what to tell you about American Express though.....I guess in this case I'd leave it home. Good luck!
Hey Nico do you guys have debit cards over there?I use my checking debit/Visa for just about everything.Don't waste your money on anything except for the Helm manual.

I may become an Ebay junkie as well as long as they accept my real card.
But thanks for the info guys, I will absolutely stick to Helms. I will find a way to pay for it using bank transfer or the card of somebody else.
Helm Inc. is the company Chevrolet contracts with to produce the Chevrolet Factory Service Manuals. No one else has the theories of operation, schematics, and trouble shooting charts provided by THE Factory Service Manual. I purchased my FSM directly from Helms, but nowhere in the manual does it say Helm Inc. Possibly one of the Corvette parts retailers, such as Ecklers, M.A.D., Corvette Central, etc, sells the Genuine Chevrolet FSM and will accept your Amex card.

RACE ON!!!
Once again CFI is right I have seen it for sale at places other than Helminc.
E-Bay is the lesser cost wise but have you looked at Ecklers. Ecklers will even take Green Stamps. That's a joke for us old guys. As I recall the 84 is a two volume set with electrical being one of the vols.
