CFI vacuum lines
My 1984 CFI has some vacuum lines I do not understand what the purpose is. Please help me out on this, don´t have my Helms yet. At the backside of the plenum cover, a vacuum connection is connected to a dohiggy that looks like a check valve, just in front of the wiper motor at the drivers side. The output of this valve is going down at the back of the engine where I can´t follow it anymore, There it becomes a 4 mm plastic line. Also connected at this valve-output is an 8 mm rubber tube that runs to one of the connections at the base of the TBI. (the same connection that is used at the other TBI for the Air Management Valve) What is the purpose of this valve and where does it run too. Also at the front of the plenum cover a vacuum connection to the airpump input is attached. What is the purpose of this connection and where does it run to in the plenum? Soory for all these question, but it is hard too find out without a Helms.
