Default supercharger question 87 Vette

Does anyone know what other mods are needed if I put a 6lb boost unit (Powerdyne) on my Corvette which has 30K miles and is in perfect running order.
It already has headers, chip, other bolt ons but original block.
It will not be used for regular racing at the track.
I want to make it as bulletproof as possible since I use it weekly.

As long as you have your fuel timing and knock retard under control you should be fine..

The pistons are always a risk, I'd invest in some logging software to be sure you have everything in order under boost...

You'll have to either get a custom programmed chip or put the stock one back in for the supercharger.. And of course do the normal stuff like lowering timing, add fuel if needed, etc.. etc...

The place you want to talk to is Supernatural-Performance. They sell the whole kit or parts. I'm talking to them now about installing one on my 86'.
Good luck,
Joe

Or you could buy a complete ATI kit that will deliver 12 psi and was built for the '87 and be worlds ahead of the Powerdyne. This kit includes an IC, FMU, and high psi fuel pump all for $3500.

Default going with Powerdyne

Ill be going with the Powerdyne kit.
I'm looking for a mild setup and the Powerdyne unit
at 6lbs of boost and being self contained should suit me fine, not to mention that the kit contains the mechanicals and specifics for the Corvette.
The only thing I'm hoping is that the Supernatural people are reliable.
I'm pretty nervous paying that amount to a group that does not give out it's phone number or address (all email as far as I can see).
