Default Rear mount dist.

What all must be done to convert my 95 LT1 to a rear mount distributor? Does anyone have a parts list or estimate to what this will cost?

why? For all of its faults, the Opti is a much more accurate unit.

Have you considered one of the coil conversion kits?

Installing a conventional distributor would cause all sorts of problems... EGR issues... general fitment... yuck.

My opti is having problems holding on to my cc306 cam so I am looking for a way to rid myself of the opti fart. I guess I am just conventional and dont trust the "new tech" equipment. I am awaiting the testing being done by corvette fever on the MSD opti also. Oh and I have no EGR so that isnt an issue.

I agree. I doubt the old distributor would fit under the hood, either.

Don't be afraid of the Opti. It will work just fine.

It'll fit under the hood, that's not the problem. Just about everything else IS a problem like Bogus said. From the intake to the computer. Many many parts will need to be swapped!!! And what have you gained???
