i shortened mine... don't think throw was cut in half but it's definitely much shorter...did NOT notice increased effort due to reduced mechanical advantage as expected...absolutely no complaints...you must take the time to accurately adjust it initially tho, thats probably why the oem set-up is so long--they didn't want to take the time and the longer throw is less critical on alignment.

i did it, it was easy to do.

1st to 2nd, and 3rd to 4th are really close now.
