Default battery tender

Have read good things about the battery tenders here so decided to get one for my vette. is it necessary to remove a cable when you hook up the tender or a charger or will no harm be done without doing so?.

They come with a quick disconnect. So I went to the local car stero shop and got some replacment bolts for the battery cable ends. they have screws that are inset in the bolts. That allows you to permenetly mount it to the cables. So now all I do is pull the car into the garage, hook up the quick disconnects and its good to go.

This seems to mean that no harm would be done to hook the tender up without removing a cable. No harm to optispark ect?.

I've even forgot and started mine with the battery tender on and it didn't hurt a thing.

Correct. I just like the quick disconnets as you don't have to mess with aligator clips or raisng the hood each time you hook up to the tender.
