Default In-car Notebook PC Mounting Bracket - C4 or Generic

Is there a secure way of mounting my notebook in the car?

I've never been happy just setting it on the p-seat. While I've
considered fabricating a bracket, I know that there is hardware
for mounting PCs in patrol cars and I used to see items intended for
sales people in PC magazines.

Looks like the Jotto Desk 5315-ACD (aka G100) 'No Holes Mount'
may be the way for me to go, along with a #1302 Screen Holder.

Prices vary - best I see tonight is < $230. This excludes shipping,
some other sites price with shipping included.

Still open to alternatives.

Check out RAM Mounts. They don't have a specific laptop mount for Corvettes, but their universal should work just fine. I found it here RAM-316-3SW1U for $163.04.

I use RAM Mounts for GPS on my motorcycle. They're well made and sturdy.

Well like you said theres two options. You can get the expensive one so you can "say" that you have a good brand or you can make one yourself. Either way it serves its purpose but if your tight on cash id advise to make your own. Good luck.

I bought my bluetooth car kit from him and his service was great. He's based out of Vancouver so there's no brokerage to contend with.

Thanks for the lead.

While this one clearly isn't going to work in a C4

This one looks like it can somehow co-exists with a console/tunnel,
so perhaps it can work in the C4.

On my car, there is perhaps 2-3 inches of clearance ahead of the left
track of the p-seat. Then the tunnel spreads wider by quite a bit.

I'll follow up with the vendor to get more information about their
products.

Thanks again.
