Automatic A/C Control Unit

I have a 96 coupe with the manual controls for the A/C and heater. What would it take to upgrade to the automatic controller?

i'm talking out of my ear cause i've got an 85, but i've seen a lot of problems withe the auto system posted on this site. now i might easily be wrong, cause complaints don't register satisfaction--so see how many other inputs you get.

definitely covered my rear on that one.

I have manual also and count my blessings. The conversion is expensive and complicated. There are many that want to go to what we have- push a button and get what you need.

At a minimum you would need to replace the control head, programmer module and assoicated cabling plus you'd need to add the heater door motor. The A/C compressor controls would likely need revamped as well.

All in all a pretty big and expensive undertaking. There is alot to be said for simplicity.
