Default 1995 antenna replacement

I have a replacement antenna...
...but I was wondering if there are any shortcuts to install...

not much room to work with...
...mind you...I have BlackSheep sitting on my Kwik lift now...

Try the directions that came with the replacement mast. If you have no bits of broken ribbon lodged inside your antenna motor, installing the new mast isn't that difficult.

You will, however, need a spotter to guide the old mast out of the hole and thread the new one in while you turn the radio on and off.

I rely upon the CF for so much information that it never occurred to me to read the instructions that came with the antenna...

..thats my next step and find a helper...

Sounds good. If you do need to remove the entire unit, check the article I wrote in the C4 TechTips Section in this Forum.

I removed the motor in my '92 before inserting the replacement mast and it wasn't too difficult at all.

You don't need a helper if you run fast enough from the radio to the antenna. Aggravating, but it works after about ten races.

go through the tail light holes. remove the lisence plate and left backup light, then reach in and remove the tail light lenses and housings. it's all done with a philips screwdriver and a 10mm socket. once the left outer tail light is out, you have easy access to the antenna mounting hardware. you'll still have to remove the interior pieces to get to the connector and antenna cable. put some vaseline on the bulkhead grommet before you try and push it back into the hole
