Default Where do I go next?

My quest on my 94 vert has been to improve its performance while causing no negative effects. I wanted to make it faster, smoother, and tighter while keeping the stock idle, driveability, mileage, noise level, and comfort.
I feel I have accomplished that goal so far. Bracing has tightened up the body considerably and the 312 RWHP motor behaves exactly as stock until you stick your foot in it. It rides better and it even gets 2 MPG more than it did before I modified it. The one compromise I did make was when I went to 3:45 gears but I can live with the increased RPM level.
I am pretty happy with the motor so what do I do next?
Is there a torque converter out there now that wont destroy fuel mileage and is indistinquishable from stock until I nail it? All of the hi perf torque converters I have had in cars in the past were annoying to me in daily driving but I know the technology has improved. I have not used one for many years because I didnt like the rev-up in normal driving in the last one I had. Do you feel a difference in kickdown power as well as launches with a more modern converter?
If I replace my 70K stock shocks with KYB will this smooth out the ride? I dont really have much in the way of corners here in Daytona so improved ride at the slight expense of ultimate cornering power is a sacrafice I am wiling to make.
Any other mods that have no negative effects you can suggest?
Thanks
Roy
