Car has been sitting all winter. I noticed tranny fluid (red in color) on floor mats under car. Also see drop of red fluid on underside of metal cover plate to torque converter housing. (I saw that last winter I had some fluid on floor during winter storage but had minimal leaks during summer). This past summer I had my fluid changed and gasket to tranny pan replaced due to some evidence of tranny fluid leaks, but this seems to me now to be pointing to front seals. Any idea on what 'seals' would be likely to needing replacement on this 10 year old AUTO tranny. I assume during winter storage, they get cold and shrink etc.... thanks.
Auto car that sit for months tend to have torque converter drain back. The fluid that sits above the front pump seal can leak out slightly from gravity and a weak tension seal. Once it starts leaking a syphoning effect happens and dumps out a good amount. Sometimes a qt or 2 . Top it off, wipe it down and start the car once a month. See if the problem disappears. It just may.

Mine did the same thing until I got the tranny rebuilt. Before the rebuild it would stop leaking once I got it on the road.
