With just a timing light and your stock damper/timing tab setup you can't.
You need to get a timing tape - Mr. Gasket and others sell them - that is specifically for the diameter damper.timing tab you have. You then install the tape on the damper and use your timing light to see what's what.
Aftermarket dampers sometimes have 360 degree timing marks that can be used to check total timing.
A dial back timing light can be used too. With one of these, you can plot your entire timing curve from idle all the way to max advance.
Diacom will display total timing too, but I suspect you don't have the program and adapter.
