Well, havent been under the Vette in a while and I was looking where the spare tire would go and noticed a drop of oil, okay a few drops underneath the D44. Well, after putting a light in there I noticed the left side of the flowmaster exhaust, 2 1/2 ID pipe was up against and rubbing the D44. I am going to do an inspect when I get my jack back, but are there adjustments for the pipes?
The Flowmaster is a 3 piece system, cat back to resonator is one, then after the rearend the two mufflers join on either side.
Well, I put a long extender pipe I had in each muffler and pulled it up and it bent it real good. Now the exhaust is about and inch away and the pipes fit better in the bumper area.
The leak wasnt a big deal. Its been a few hours and nothing. I also checked the fluid and it was still as clear as the day I put it in after the intial 1000 mile drive down the East coast from CT to SC.
Now I need to monitor it. Since I am on Hawaii, it shouldnt have hurt anything as the car doesnt get driven very much.
