Thanks for the pics! I wonder how close the LT1's mufflers are to the L98's in construction? The reason I was asking, is I want to keep the sound I have but I'd like to tame it a little bit. I'm running elims right now but I thought that I might cut open my stock mufflers and remove a baffle or two, then weld them back up. Any thoughts or opinions?

If you want to tame it down, why not buy a set of Magnaflow Muffler replacements they have a kit for 92-96 LT1/4's I guess the obvious is the cost.. to modify something you already have vs. spending some cash.... I'm thinking of doing this setup to mine to tone it up a bit since I am running stock exhaust minus the resonator. Plus they look awesome too... Just my .02..

Thanks for your input! I'll give them a look! Paul
I did the surgery on my stock mufflers long ago... '90 L98 by the way. The whole cat back w/ mufflers is sitting next to the house if you want it... I've went to power effects cat back 5 years ago. Really nice to be able to dial the sound based on application.
As for the surgery, I cut an opening, took a drill to the turbo holes & also openned up the "dummy" pipe a little bit. Prob. a waste of time but I couldn't afford what I wanted at the time.

Thanks for your response! I've been wondering about the power effects system.
