Default 84 Junction Block Wiring

I wonder if anyone has had an experience with the junction block, next to the steering shaft, that mates with another on the firewall, containing the main harness, next to the battery. I have a burnt wire, and its burnt right down to the terminal, inside. Any help would be appreciated.........

I haven't. You can identify the circuit by noting the wire color and consulting your factory service manual. Besides that, if I were in your shoes, I would unplug it and replace the damaged portion of that wire. There is a bolt in the middle of the plug that will have to be backed off to pull it from it's socket. Of course, you will want to trouble shoot and make sure that whatever caused the insulation to burn off of that wire has been corrected.

RACE ON!!!

Default Thanks

I know you helped me before, and I am thinking that the two halves, one inside and one outside, plug together, like a multi wire connector, secured by the two bolts. I will try that tommorrow, and let you know: I found that the brown wire was pinched behind the starter, and that burnt the green/wht wire also. Well,I'll have another sore back, but I'll save $80 per hr. service fee. Thanks again..................
