Default GS 50mm offset = ? backspacing

At the risk of being redundant I will ask anyway. I am currently looking at a set of ARE Hopster wheels for my 90 vette. 17x9.5 front and 17x11 rear. ARE does not list offset in the custom sizes ( 17x11 being one of them ) and lists backspacing of 8". Is this equal to the GS 50mm offset or more or less. IE I dont want them sticking out past the fenderwells ( well a 1/4 inch is ok ) Is the GS offset 7.5 inchs of backspacing? 7.75, 8, 8.25 etc. Anyone know exactly? Thanks in advance

BTW: I have my Torque Thrust IIs ( all 4 are 17x9.5 ) listed in the C4 for sale section with like new tires. All mint.

take your existing TT3s.

Lay a straight edge over the outer rim edge, on the inside of the wheel. Then drop a ruler onto the hub and measure. THAT'S backspacing.

Offset is a little harder to measure... that is measured from the exact vertical center of the wheel... and the negative is if the offset is to the outside and positive is if the offset is to the inside.

Thanks for the info although I indeed already knew how to measure backspacing. That is why I was trying to relate it to the 50mm offset that the GS calls out as. Do you know what the backspacing is on the gs 50mm offset wheels are? Thanks for your comments
