Default ECM Pin Locations...

Here is my problem.

The 91' I am trying to rebuild is a wiring nightmare! The GM connection and plug that attaches to the speedo sending unit on my ZF6 is still there and is fed by a yellow and purple wire. about six inches backtowards the engine compartment, the wires are burned off from laying on the exhaust.

Does anyone know where the yellow and purple wires go? Do they run to a pin off the back of the ECM or do they go elsewhere? I was originally going to replace the whole works with an aftermerket speedo, but if I can find out this info, I might be able to avoid that.

Thanks in advance for you help!

I hope that this helps you. It's from my '90 service manual
but I think that it should be the same on your '91.

I think this might be getting me somewhere!

now my car does not have the selective ride control so that does not factor in. Can someone trasnlslate what the y11,y6, g2, g8 means? i am sure thats pin location, but i dont know how to find where y11 is!

i think this might be it!

y locations are for VIN J and that is LT5 equipped car ( ZR1 ),
so you should only be looking at stuff for VIN 8 ( L98 ).

EDIT: G2 and G8 should be pin locations for the vss on your ECM.
