Default cats ??

I am pretty sure I have atleast 1 bad cat, loss of MPG after an hour or so on the highway?

So where can I get stock cats that will bolt right up and how much do they run?

Advance has cats but they are universal, I work 6 days a week and don't have time to mess around with those types and the dealers are way to much.

TIA

Is this the main cat, or one of the precats? (not sure how the 93 is setup)

I see you live in Winter Park? (I live 15-20 mins from you)... being that Orlando has no emissions or inspections, just hollow them out with a crowbar

if it's the precats that shot its little ring thing out, take the main cat off and just dump out whatever got caught up in the front of it. Both my precats shot their load into the main cat, of which I just emptied it out, then rammed all the main cat out with a crowbar. Free performance mod!

GIJoe,
I think the LT motors do not have precats(atleast I think that is right), I am moving to a county that does have inspection and need to replace. Thanks though.

Admiral94,
Where did you get your cats, only place I found was Mid America and they were for 86-91?

That is correct the LTx motors do not have pre-cats.

I didn't personally get new cats for my car. Just happen to know that Random Tech makes replacement cats that bolt right in. Your best bet is to check their website for an authorized dealer.

You don't know how jealous I am reading that. I love living in California but our smog laws are just crazy.

Gutting LTx cats will result in a loss of power... an increase in noise and a nasty smell.

Get the RT cats and be happy.
