95 vette battery drain

My vette is a yellow 95 convert black top, black int w/ a auto and FX3 and 50,000 miles. I had at one point looked in the black book and figured out that there were only about 20 made in 95 just like mine. I have a 86 vette that I plan on driving regular after I get the gremlin out, but am trying to keep the other one mint. I think the battery tender might be the way to go on it.

I'm sure this is not your problem, but...I had a drain problem, I couldn't figure out for weeks, charge it up, it would die within 2 days, the problem... the previous owner(my non mechanically inclined) cousin had a battery installed, that has the terminals on top, and on the side. The damn positive side top was touching a bracket and shorting out! The idiot who installed it, jammed the wrong battery in! It was less than a year old, and must have moved over time. Had to file the terminal almost off,to fix.

On my NApa Exide gel battery I cut the positive post off to clear the bracket.
