Default Porting L98 Plenum? Worth anything?

I am considering porting my plenum on my engine with a Dremel. Will I pick up any performance gains, or is this a useless venture? Thanks

I found the motor breathed a little better on the upper end. Also, an article in GM High Tech Performance magazine where this was done to a Firebird, along with an adjustable fuel pressure regulator for fine tuning, pick up .4 seconds if I remember correctly. (I would have to dig out the magazine to verify that time :hat )

WELL! .4 seconds is WELM worth it! If I could run a solid 13.6, then I'd be WAY more than happy!

I don't have hard dyno numbers to prove a higher level of performance but I did feel my engine was more responsive with porting the Plenum. I took a ton of aluminum out of my Plenum. There's lots of room for improvement.

You may get some benefit, but I think .4 sec is a little ambitious. Check out my site for net gains from intake, etc mods.
