I've tried for the last 2 months to order the Blower Control Module ACdelco #15-71642 and it has come in wrong all three times. The part # is right and it's what I need according to the picture on the net and at the store but when it arrives there are similarities.
The two connectors on top of the module are reversed and WILL NOT WORK. The last one was ordered from GM and they got it wrong. One is made in Japan which I'm needing the others that don't work are from Mexico. So go figure.
Does anybody know any salvage places that may have this part? Also, how do I know if my Air Conditioning Fan Motor is good?
Here's the web address to a local corvette shop here in Tampa. They might just have the part you need... Corvette Shop and Supplies Ask for Mike and tell them Michael with the black '90 sent 'ya.

You could jump power and ground to it and see if it spins.
Maybe there's more to this I think. I pulled the hood up with car running and a/c off to look at the compressor. Then I turned the a/c on and the compressor spinned for about 15 seconds then stopped. I then turned the car off and wanted to see if I could spin the compressor by hand. Yes, It spun and so I guess it's not frozen up like the ole Nissan 300. On that compressor you couldn't spin it by hand when it was frozen up.
So other words what's this mean if it's doing this?
Has the refridgerant charge been checked? If it is low it will not run.
No, I just noticed this tonight. I've been looking all night since I got home from work trying to find this blower control module part. I believe I found one. But this time I'll talk to them by phone to make sure it's the right part. If anybody ever has to order this part. You better get ready to do some searching.
