Brake Question
Stupid question of the day...I have a 96 LT1 w/ the FX3 ride control. Do all Collectors Editions and GS's come with Heavy Duty brakes or is that just an option. Through decoding my VIN would I be able to find out the answer? Thanks.

IMHO, there is no comparisson to the C5 system, IMHO C5 is way superior. I have C5's on mine with the midrange Hawk pads and stopping is awesome

I read somewhere on a ZR1 forum that the GS calipers were superior to the ZR1 brakes. I thought they both used the J55 brake setup.
Is the GS J55 a different/stronger casting or...?
