the computer is hanging from it's harness and resting on the floor of the right seat. i put in an aftermarket chip in it and left it there. now when i put the ecu in the slot back in there, it does not want to start. it turns over but does not want to start. if i remove the computer and leave it hanging again it will start right up. the car turns over and has spark and fuel at the rail. but the injectors do not work. if i remove the computer and leave it haging again it will start with no problems. it has the same problem if I use the stock chip. i never encounterd this problem before because this is the first time i took the ecu out to put the perfomance chip in.
i am thinking that some wire must be not connecting right when i bend the harness slightly to put the ecu back in it's slot. any of you want to take a guess which wire it is? or what other possible solutions for this problem.

Your thinking is probably right. check the purple/white wire in pin location B5 on the ECM connector. This is the ref pulse signal wire from the ignition module to the ECM, without the ref pulse the ECM won't fire the injectors.
