On the firewall beside brake booster. There are 2 of them mounted together. The one closest to firewall is fuel pump relay and the one furthest from the firewall is the OD relay.

The Helms for my '87 confirms this. The 4+3 transmission definitely has this relay. I would trust AGENT 86 and the Helms long before Mid America

The fuel pump and overdrive relays are the same part, so go ahead and order one of those if you can't find the overdrive one.

I noticed Ecklers had this "overdrive relay" listed as a new item. Exact same part.

To diagnose either relay swap the plugs between relays.

If you're gonna order online, go here:

http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/cata...&parttype=3380

One on the top, $10. Cheaper than midamerica I bet. Or you could just drive to the parts store and ask for a fuel pump relay.

The GM Parts & Illustration Dealer Guide says that the 85 & 86 FP relay and the OD relay are both GM part #14078915. You should be able to get it online or at any auto parts store using the GM #.
