Well I'm glad to see somebody got their motor running. Hopefully mine will be up shortly but congratulations. I can only imagine for now what its like to have it running but should be worth the wait!

It is great...now just be ready for some struggles...it never is that easy! (Though I sure hope it is for you!)

So far it has been a struggle....
(and I am sure more bugs to work out will come)
When I bought the car it had a 638 one piece block/SR/AFR set up. I installed a dart 421 setup, and have been modifying stuff etc.....
Then I am locked out. I have ended up bypassing the start & fuel relays.
This project is one that I have found has seriously tested my will.
Very important lesson learned..... Don't give up too easily.....

Indeed, you have to get into these cars and fight them. But in the end the reward is worth it.
Sounds like a badass set-up. I want my next motor to be a 421 as well! WAY

Did you get the no start issue ironed out?

I still did not get the lock out issue solved. I had install a resistor in the vats connection. Every darn thing I could think of. I went on ahead as suggested and bypassed the starter and the fuel relays....
It started off instantly.
Alvin....Thanks for your help
Now.....
I stripped the spade off the bottom of the distributer. No Oil PSI.... I caught it when I was dialing in the timing. So I hope the motor is not coming out.
MSD stuff coming Monday.... I had already ordered it.....
