That is good info, thanks. I like to stick to the CF intake, so I have to work real hard at it to give it some air. I will weld the channels up in order to increase the area and increase the plenum volume to over-compensate for the loss of volume.
After that I will follow what you did by taking 1.6 RR rockers and an other headers. When done correctly, should come close to your performance I suppose.
I am very interested how your new gear does perform with the engine mods.
Please keep us posted about the results.
The last couple of days I've really been enjoying the car. I can get over the differance. I was going to port it myself but after thinking about it I decided to go the xram route. I only had to bolt it on. Like I said before I wasn't overly impressed with the product but it does seem to be doing its job. Now since I've done this I no longer have any hesitation from a light if I jump on it. I'm really interested in trying the shift kit with some new gears. Don't know if I can wait to do it next year. I might get it done in the next few weeks.
I will weigh in on the Transgo. The difference between the B&M and it are important.A B&M will always bang hard into 2nd but a Transgo will be like stock at light throttle and bang hard at 1/2 to full throttle making it much better for drivability.Think about a slippery road everytime the B&M shifts you will spin.I drive in different conditions and did not like the neck snap everytime.I love the Transgo for all around driving.
