Default New Exhaust setup

OK, first off, I just wanna say I'm pretty new to this stuff, and have a 91 coupe. But I have been looking around the forums and decided that I want to replace my headers with TPiS coated headers and a Corsa Cat-Back exhaust from madvet.com. (http://www.madvet.com/shop?frame=3.36.6986)

I just want to know if there is anything else I should do to my exhaust, since it is basically stock, save for the K&N air intake that came with it when I bought it. Should I buy the Catalytic Converter from TPiS, and should I replace the Y-Pipe as well? Thanks in advance.

I just got my Borla Stinger Cat-Back delivery today, you will not be disappointed
Hi Flow cats will be the next thing I put on. I am at a stand still concerning a mod air intake system, because I read negative things about certain air induction mods
Sooner or later I will just have to decide on one of them and go with it regardless.
New headers wouldnt hurt

I have a Magnaflow catback, high flow converter, and with all the hangers, misc. parts = less than $600. Thats modifying it to fit an '85. I like Corsa but its too expensive.

I made a photo doc of the install detailing all the steps and issues I found. You can check it out here if you are interested:

i know corsa is more reserved sound-wise. but does that system have a good powerful sound to it? like just different than other systems? or does it make your vette sound less impressive at start up than say a borla or flowmaster system.

just curious, im still tryin to figure out what i want to replace my lt1 tip, no muffler setup.

If you are installing headers I would do Y pipe, converter and back.

Thanks for all the responses. Can anyone recommend a good Y-pipe that will fit the TPiS headers?

If I were you I would just install the TPIS headers and get a Corsa system for a 92 and up LTx car. Then you will have true dual exhaust. All you need to do this is to buy the LTx exhaust hangers for the system. You need one at the rear of the transmission and a left and a right rear hanger. Then you need two L brackets one at each muffler, which you may already have. The LTx system will just bolt right in, if you want CATs you can install a set of Dynatech Headers bullet cats that will slip right onto the TPIS slip on collectors. Then you need to reduce down to 2.5" to mate to the Corsa system. Any competent exhaust shop can make the connection for you.
