what chip are you buying, and for how much?

any commercially produced cookie cutter pos chip is a waste of $$

edit: i don't even need to know. if you want a real deal, sotp kick and a slew of improvements that are customized to your year/setup (and yes that includes stock), pitch all ideas about some ebay or other sourced garbage chip and contact the guys at www.pcmforless.com

why? alvin is a supporting tuner here, and he's called a supporting "tuner" for good reason -- he actually tunes chips. bryan, his partner, would actually be doing the tuning on yours, since you have an LT1. thats my strong recommendation. i could write a book here about the particulars as to why they're so good

Thanks, I appreciate it..

Actually it would be me doing the tuning.. I do all 1985-1993 Cars up to 95 trucks, ALL V6's and everything on the dyno locally. Bryan does everything else. Between the two of us we can handle 85-2006 GM cars/trucks, a handfull of fords and accel/fast/etc.

alvin do you guys have experience with gen 7 dfi tuning?

dont mean to hijack the post.. but definitely DO NOT buy a chip off ebay. understand that NA cars dont get huge gains compared to turbo/diesel cars. thats where all they hype came from back in the day and all the scum vendors are feeding off it. Getting a chip Custom tuned to YOUR setup is the only way to go.

I have used 3 different chips in mine. Alvin, at www.pcmforless.com has by far done the best job. After buying a chip reader I found out that one of the other so called tuners did nothing to the actual tune but just changed fan on and off, tc lock etc. Alvins chip works great, passes emissions testing and is the cheapest.

I highly recommend PCMforless.com. I have a 93 6SP Ragtop as well, and there was a Hypertech Chip in the car before I changed it to Alvins chips. And yes, he does support, I called there number with a question and Alvin answered the phone and answered my question. The chip performs great, day and night compared to the hypertech chip.
