Default 180+ cc Cylinder head flow chart thread

Think im sold on the 180CC size. These numbers are aweso0me for a small head, these have to make killer power!

What ya got?

Heres a few I pulled up while comparing.....

$1460 through dealer

Sounds like the Streetport heads will be plenty.

Dart Pro 180 (aluminum)
$1299 through dealer
.200 134/114
.300 187/145
.400 231/164
.500 257/172
.600 261/174
Provision for heat crossover, simply drill into it according to the tech.

Brodix Racerite 180
.200 138/97
.300 194/129
.400 234/155
.500 243/171
.600 245/179
Dont know price, angle plug/crossover compatibility, couldnt reach a tech.

Anyone else?

Also take a look at Brodix Iron Killer 180 about $1040/complete pair at summit
http://store.summitracing.com/defaul...h.asp&x=28&y=9

Or the IK200 are even less at $1000/complete pr

both IK180 & IK200 are aluminum

The Brodix race Rites, with the CNC chamber option, are a pretty nice head. What would be the short comings of the Iron Killer vs. the Race Rite heads?

The AFR heads seem to have superior exhaust #s. Does any one know why there would be such a large difference between the AFR exhaust and the Dart or Brodix heads?

Suggest it's in the test method & technique ... there's a lot of finesse involved with flowing heads & carbs ... I own a Superflow 110 flowbench. There're correction factors for air temp & pressure too. ... I would not assume that everyone, everywhere does it exactly the same way. And were the stated numbers acquired while using a "radius" attachment on port ... or not ... who knows? See? ... lotsa room for variation.

I think these trickflow 175s look pretty decent. I/E ratio, cfm/cc, and they already have small 56 cc chambers. The other heads will require milling to get the chambers down, which will add some cost.

23 Degree 175 Airflow Chart, 4.000" Bore

Lift Value: Intake Flow
(CFM): Exhaust Flow
(CFM):

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

0.100 62 57
0.200 127 109
0.300 180 142
0.400 219 167
0.500 242 181
0.600 245 192

NOTE: Tests conducted at 28" of water (pressure); exhaust with 2' pipe.

assuming LT headers and free-flowing exhaust (due to E/I ratios in low-mid lift areas being a bit "weaker" in the AFR's in relation) , the obvious and significant superiority of the AFR's are apparent.

how much negative effect of lower velocity associated with the larger cross section of 190cc runners vs. 175cc would offset the vastly superior straight flow numbers?
