Default Wheel size question

I am wanting to purchase some wheels and slicks. I dont know where to start. What size will clear the brakes? How much backspace do I need for a 15x10? Will a 15x10 work on a c4? I found some at a swap meet but didnt know the exact sizes and no return policy there!

Most of us are running 15 x 10's with a 7.5 backspace and a 5/16 spacer to clear the caliper. Grinding of the caliper will be required.

for the front I'm running 15x3.5 and with the standard brakes, they fit fine, but for '95-96 the J55 brakes were standard so youmayneed a spacer for the front to clear the caliper, I don't believe grinding of the front caliper is going to be enough. I never tried, but I knew a couple dudes that put the 15 x 3.5 up front and they needed spacers which by the way is not recommended. Don't forget the longer studs as well.
