Something so easy
First, what size is the fitting right next to the connector plug? I did a rough measurement and got 1 1/4"; however, my 1 1/4" socket doesnt seem to fit (not sure if it is too small or if there is some sort of interference). After doing a search, I found a link that said to use a 30-32mm spanner. After doing a conversion, 30mm is ~1.18" and 32mm is ~1.26". 1/100th of an inch shouldnt prevent a socket from sliding on, should it?
Second, does the IAC come out without having to remove either the TB or everything around the TB? All the articles/websites/manual simply say remove the IAC but make no mention of disconnecting anything (aside from the IAC electrical connection); however, two articles I read already have the TB removed. Using vice grips is not only marking up the IAC but it is tedious as hell since I only get a 1/16-1/8 of a turn before I have to reposition (and that mofraker has a lot of threads from all the pictures I have seen).
I too, used the vise grip (needle nose) method. Once !! Way too much crap in the way. Now that the TB coolant bypass is done, it makes TB removal a no brainer.

Yeah, who needs a TB circulating with coolany anyways?
While you're at it, do a TB coolant bypass. I twisted my IAC off with Visegrips. T'was that easy...

I figured it would be something like that. Thanks for the info guys.BTW, the TB coolant bypass is not on my mod list but considering how easy it is, I might add it on since it doesnt get that cold here in California. If anything, it will clean up that birds nest next to my TB some.
