Default Gen 7 HELP

I have a 95 T/A installing Gen 7 with the fasttrack kit..and the dual sync, i have the Accel Y cam/crank wire plug & play..

I am lost on what to do with the wires from the GEN 7 box, to the 8 pin Y plug (accel) and then with the wires coming out of the dual sync...

Any help would be great

thanks

If you are using the Accel dual sync distributor, you need the Dual Sync adapter harness part number 74101 (it maybe a 77101) which will connect to the distributor and direct to the Accel G7 ignition harness 8 pin connector. It then will be plug and play.

Go into your CalMap program, click on help and then go to drawings. There are circuit diagrams of the harness and that adapter harness.

You should check where the wires come into the DFI box itself. The middle wire should be the unused sheild

The crank signals should be the white, black, and purple.

The cam signals should be black and white.

There should be two blank wires on the 8pin connector.

The orange wire on the crank was not use, just shielding I guess. I've got it setup on my car with the fast track harness and dual sync. If you have any specific questions I can get the exact pin outs for you if you need them.

Cavity
C & G - Ground
D - orange crank to purple
E - black cam wire
F - white cam wire
H - crank white to white

I've got the stuff, but I forgot the note pad in my car. I'll go grab it today before lunch sometime.

Here's the answers to everything you need.

Dist Connector
HGFE
ABCD

Dist
A - Pink wire goes to Ignition voltage(power on key)
B - Blank
C - Black Crank wire - B3 on DFI
D - Purple Crank wire - A3 on DFI
E - Black Cam wire - D3 on DFI
F - White Cam wire - C3 on DFI
G - Black Crank wire - B3 on DFI (spliced together with C)
H - White Crank wire - J2 on DFI

NOTE TO SELF: When in the calmap software if you hit Ctrl + F1 you will bring up a wiring schematic of just about anything. It defaults to the wiring harness, but has a pull down menu for everything you could need.

I hope this helps. Good luck
