Help will 88 L98
I am helping diagnosis a 88 l98 for my father in law and we are receiving the following codes:
Code 13 - O2
Code 34 - mass air sensor low
Code 36 Runoff diagnostic malfunction
Are any of the codes related to each other. I have checked the Mass air sensor and it seems to functioning properly so I am confused. why a 34 would occur. Also what is the code 36?

Code 36 = MAF burn off malfunction. When you shut your car off, it energizes the MAF for about a second by heating up the wire for a split second. This is to clean the wire of any contaminants. If the ECM requests this and it does not happen, the ECM will throw a code 36.

First replace the burnoff and power relays, on the firewall behind the battery.
Clear codes and see what comes back, if the MAF code returns and the wiring is good, replace the MAF.
Dont touch the O2 sensor until the MAF is fixed, codes at the beginning of the intake tract will cause faults elsewhere.
