Who knows - there are distinctions in length halfshafts from Dana36 and Dana44?
Or length can varied with years of release 87-91-96?
Or can halfshafts always had one length?
I used my D36 halfshafts for my D44 install.
I would bet they are the same
This info is from GM PARTs direct. AXLE SHAFT
Part #: 10223032
Categories:
Collision > STEERING/SUSPENSION > REAR SUSP
Mechanical > GROUP 15 - DRIVESHAFT & AXLES > REAR DRIVING AXLES
1984-1996
Shaft, Axle L
1984-1996
Shaft, Axle R
However they do mention a 1984 steel half shaft and 1987-89 with 6 way power seats so there may be a couple of early year differences.

And at replacement Dana36 on Dana44, length main DRIVESHAFT does not require changes (to truncate)?
I can leave Dana36's DRIVESHAFT together with Dana44???
Can and on this question who knows the answer?

Beforehand thank.
The Dana 44 driveshaft is about 1" shorter and so is the C-beam or to look at it another way the Dana 36 driveshaft and C-beams are about an inch longer.

You can tell me on how many PRECISELY more shortly D44 than D36???

It's around ONE INCH. This has been covered in depth many times and about a year ago I climbed under my car to measure the D44 shaft to compare with the D36 shaft in my garage. I tried to search for that thread and failed miserably.
Since, its 18 degrees outside, blowing 30 MPH and it snowed all day I'm not going to climb out under the car for you.
My guess is your over seas somewhere and that is the reason for these questions so here's a bump for you.
If your not over seas just buy the a used driveshaft for the proper application they are pretty darn inexpensive.

You can have your D36 driveshaft shortened by one inch and it will be right. It's not expensive to have done. The D36 C beam can be redrilled for use with a D44.
It's true check the part number yourself 10223032.
Never said it wasn't true, just trying to understand how the rear track width (when measured from wheel mounting surface to the other wheel mounting surface) could have changed, and the length of the driveshafts stayed the same.
A difference in the configuration of the rear knuckles.
Thanks Corvette Kid, when you say rear knuckle, do you mean where the driveshaft mounts to the rear bearing hub assembly?
