FX3 Shock Question
I have a 1990 six speed w/Z51 and FX3 shocks. The rear shocks and acuators were not on the car when I bought it. I am thinking about doing away with the adjustable shocks, and just installing some good gas shocks. I do not race the car in any way, and have no interest in doing so. I have heard good and bad things about the FX3s, and I am not sure what to do. Cost is also a consideration , as it would cost $700.00 just for the back shocks, and then I would have to get the
front rebuilt.
Has anyone done this? What do you guys think? Thanks, Randy

Do a search on this forum. A lot of guys have replaced the FX3 with a good performance shock. IMO, for everyday driving the touring setting is firm enough. I have the FX3 on my 93 but the only time I used it was when I tested the car, just to make sure it worked.
