last year was my first time at the track and all of my 60' were about 2.2 so i dropped my (street) tire pressure down to 24# and i was just going around the water and linning up and flooring it on my light. so i need to do a burn out first to warm up the tires. do you just leave your right foot on the brake and give it gas hard or ease into it?

On street tires, you don't want too much of a burnout, just enough to clean the tread and get a little heat in them.

Don't ease into it, juts hit it hard. Like this:

sorry just got home from working on Dads car all night. Did not mean to leave you hangin.

All good guesses and they could be thing that cause slower 60s, but if you watch the hood real close you can see that the drivers side will tip down more than the passengers side right before the wheels touch back down. This caused the right rear tire to unload. I simply fixed this by stiffening the left rear shock a click more.

The other thing, which would have been very tough to see with a comparison of the way the car is NOW, is as I mentioned previously the front shocks were not stiff enough for the car when it came back down, and it would unload the rear wheels too quick. Again I slowed that down and it kept the weight on the rear wheels longer, and no more chirp from the tires when the front touched down.

What you have to remember is that chirp of the tires might have only been 1/2 revolution of the tire, but that is 1/2 the circumference of the tire closer to the 60' you should have been and are not. The timer does not stop ticking when the tires slip.

One other thing to really help your 60' times and it takes some practice, but once you get it, you have it, its like riding a bike. And that is SHALLOW SHALLOW staging. The shallower you stage, but more "headstart" you get before you break the beams. It makes a BIG difference.

Well hope some of that helps.

The other seems to be chassis flex. a little more sag on one side than the other.

That's surprising due to the torsion of the motor normally pulls the left side up further than the right side.

Mojo is that your car? If so, what suspension setup do you have besides tires and possibly front sway bar removed, thanks.

On Kuhmo's, my best is a 2.06 leaving at 1,500 rpm.

On Nitto 555r's, my best is 1.84. Shallow stage, rev to 4,000 and dump it...a little chirp, bog, and go.

Not mine, but the owner of that car drives mine sometimes.

This is mine:
