What's the secret to disconnecting the lighting harness plug from where it meets the firewall connector along with the engine harness.1990?
Does it just pull out or there some hidden screws?
I'm pretty sure there is a screw from the driver's side that is right in the center that has to be removed in order to separate the connector. Maybe someone else will confirm. It's been awhile since I did one.

Although I haven't done this, I've done similar connectors on other GM vehicles. They seem to enjoy making you access both sides to get these things apart, the a**holes!
I just went through this not too long ago. The screw is deep in the middle of the connector. I can't remember if it's standard or metric but it's pretty small and it's all but impossible to see. I tried several small sockets until I could "feel" what was going on. Once I felt that one fit properly I began turning it out... and turning... and turning.... It's a long, fine threaded bolt.
Be sure when you install it that you tighten it all the way down. It takes a while....
