Default DFI/FAST/Big Stuffs

I suppose all these stand alone engine management have sample of twin turbo program? Gen 7 have a sample program that is for a 377ci twin turbo. I am thinking going to start off that sample for my turbo 383ci in a few weeks and will begin doing some street tuning. I have been practicing "off line from file" and reading I really like it and seem to be easy friendly user and awsome stand alone system.

mmvette, and Chris. I know both of you guys are using Gen 7 as well. Did you use the twin turbo program as a start or you created a turbo program on your own??

Hopefully in a couple of months, Rick will have his dyno ready so I can get some hp#. Man I am excited and I hope my motor won't blow on 25psi.

Bruce,

I am going to start with the 377 file and change the constants and see how close it is on my setup.. I am hoping some minor tweaking after that and it should be good to go. I still wanna learn how to do the diveability tuning and get that nailed down for fuel economy and clean burning while under light loads.

Bruce,

It is very a pity that at you not Big Stuff 3 - I can give starting 350 TT the program for you, if it is necessary.
I do not know as DFI GEN 7, but Big Stuff 3 is very easy in street adjustment - it is necessary to go
And to remove logging, further it to analyze and to correct in the necessary places map
of fuel for best A/F Ratio. Also there is a function "Learning" - it helps that itself
Corrects meanings fuel map on the given pattern of meanings A/F Ratio.

I bet Gen 7 is as good and easy to tune as the B3S. It can do all the above you mentioned. However The B3S do have a few new features, boost control and some others stuffs. With the price different is about $1000 more. I think I will be happy with the Gen 7 because it can do everything that I want it to do for my need.

You guys will find that the 377TT cal in the DFI sample files will be rich. I have used it and it does work OK. I am running the same starter cal on a 427 TT car. That cal is the actual cal for a Banks TT SBC that is supplied with a DFI G7 system.

Dear Bruce,

I to argue did not want that from systems am by best - I simply wanted to offer you
start-programm....

Well and to compare advantages:

http://www.bigstuff3.com/gen3featurecom.pdf - features

http://www.bigstuff3.com/gen3pricecom.pdf - prices

http://www.bigstuff3.com/proc.pdf - processors

In addition to this - I consider that BS3 (BigComm) the program easier, is accessible in understanding easily and without excesses.
I looked Gen7 the program - it was much more difficultly looked.
One of advantages, because of which I have chosen BigStuff - there was just simplicity of the interface program.

Good luck...

divette.
Thanks for the link and all. surely the B3S is a better system. While ago when I call and inquired the pricing on the LT1 system and I was told $2400 or 2600 but I don't remember exactly. I got mine DFI for much less. I would appreciate if you send me the 350TT file so I can take a peek at it as well.

Also remember when you wipe out your 4L60 or 700, you'll probably want an 80E and that can be managed by BS3. PLUS there is now a Trans Brake for the 4L80E

Well personally this function in BS3 is not necessary to me - I to itself has established Rossler's TH400 HD w/TransBreak

For TH400 it is not required

Bruce, I just used the VE Table Estimator and it came pretty darn close. If I remember correctly I was running in the 12's for a/f. Recorded the run and changed things using the wideband feedback numbers.

Current VE * feedback number = new VE

.875 * 1.12 = .98 This is what you would do when the computer is adding fuel for you. The feedback number will be less than one if the car is running too rich.
