Exaust sounds Gains
I have a 86 vette with a Intake, Cooling System....ect. How much power gains and how LOUD would my system be with TRUE DUAL, FLOWMASTER 40 SERIES, NO CATS, Reasonator has been removed. All new stainless steel piping at 2.5 in its place. It will all be "double welded" w/e that means lol. Id like to really know the sound gains more than horsepower though. Any vids would be great also. THANKS GUYS

86 didnt have a resonator, that was the main cat.
Removal of the main cat altogether should net about 10hp, as will the new exhaust system, so I would expect something in the ~25hp range.
You might want to look into improving your interior sound system now so you can hear it over the exhaust, and long trips will give you a headache.

I have a similar setup on my '84. I have the Flowmaster Super 40s, no cat and the 2.5" pipes. It's not that it is louder (well, maybe just a little!), but it produces more resonance inside the car. I really like the sound, but then this is a weekend driver and I don't have to live with it on a daily basis. I did install sound deadening in the rear compartment to cut down on the interior resonance. It helped some, but I plan to do more of the same in the front area.

It will be loud and sound like just another street rat. This is what Flowmaster 40s do....

i do love a good exhaust note and was thinking about this setup
