Arizona Speed and Marine Large Tube Runners or my slp runners that has port wokr done to them....i see the Arizona Speed and Marine Large Tube Runners being sold for a hole lot of money and im not sure why....do they flow more? is 200$ a good deal for a set of them?
well i have work a lot on the center wall on the slps i moved them back in there more and smoothed them out....but i have not messed with the tubes deep in there not sure what tools to use.....is it worth messin with them more or just get the as&m..s? what would you say "heavily" ported would be?

I see no good reason to justify the expense. It wont make much difference if you are not running the larger bases from TPiS or Accel.
However AS&M is going to flow better out of the box and probably has more port material.
i have a edelbrock bace.....i asked for pics so after i see pics and do a lil searchin around ill find out if its worth it or not...i could get 200 or close to for my slps im sure...well see...thanks for your time
would it be worth gettin them and sellin my ported slps? do they flow more?
i wouldn't sell the slp's since you already have them. check out my post in this section of my slps heavily ported. just to give you an idea what can be done with time and patience.
the AS&M's flow the best of ALL the large tube runners, brand new. the others can be ported to flow better, but it will cost a couple hundy $$. i agree with Vader, i don't think its worth the outlay to fully port the runners in those other brands (SLP, Accel, Edelbrock, etc.)
the AS&M's are as thin-walled as the stock units. they appear identical are are constructed just like the stock units, onlt difference is the tubes are larger diameter. folks going for the "stock look" often opt for the AS&M's on looks alone. you cannot port the AS&M's with any appreciable impact to flow.
for $200, the AS&M's are a huge steal. thats 1/2 price the cost of new. if they're in good shape (not all kinds of dents, etc.), i would leap at the change of buying them, faster than yesterday happened.
lastly, the LTR's will be useless without a much better flowing intake manifold, as also has been stated. its the main key to the weakness in the whole L98 intake to begin with.
