Default Brake

Well I just recently installed a new brake booster from Hot Rods USA and I didn't notice any improvements over my old booster. So I took a closer look today and I am noticing a sort of big hiss when the pedal is depressed, does this mean that my new Booster is already bad?

Sounds like it is bad. Why did you replace the original unit? typically they are replaced when they fail - you would have to stand on the brakes with both feet to get it to stop. So i don't understand exactly why you repaced the unit - and why there is no improvement. Did you include the felt spacer?
1 of the ways guys are ruining new booster units is by fiddling with the rod adjustment at the back of the booster - they are going for a higher or lower brake petal - unfortunately this adjustment is very touchy - an 1/8 turn to much - dragging brakes - and brake fluid getting into the booster and ruining it!

Well I replaced my old unit because it was broken as well, the brakes were very very hard. After I installed this one the brakes were still very hard, so I even changed my Master Cylinder but still nothing.

And I didn't include the felt spacer?

And I have a 1992 LT1 and it originally came with a plastic booster, but I bought the metal one from Hotrods USA and it's a little smaller. Also on ther website it says for 85-92 but when I got my reciept it says for 85-91. Do you think I should just go back to the original?

I'd call em up and ask em whats the deal. They certainly should replace it if you didn't screw it up. This is the first time I've heard of therm having quality problems - they have many satisfied customers here in the forum!

I'll try to call them, I hope they return it or at least exchange it.
