Borla exhaust
Got my borla put on today... terrible. terrible. It don't fit right, its pretty much just as quiet as stock... really dissapointed in it. The fact that it dont even fit right makes it so i can attempt to get my money back.. i really want something aggressive.
One thing is i still need to get my xpipe installed and hear it then instead of the resonator.. hopefully xpipe will change my mind if not i need somethin more aggressive for my taste. Lookin for ideas, so any help..thanks

, Mine sound real agressive as well. I just got another vette with borla on it and they sound stock, but the ones on my silver sound awesome. there is a differance though in style and type between the both of them

I like the way mine sound with stock resonator. Definately louder than stock and agressive. I can hear my wife comig into the subdivision whereas before...I could not hear the thing hardly at all at start up in the drive.
I am planning on installing an x-pipe tough....so I will get more sound.

hmm what happened to my borla then, i got the 92-94 borla for my 94 and it is so quiet.. you can barely tell its not stock exhaust from about 1000rpm-2000rpm... then everything above than and WOT is as quiet as stock.. i mean completely as quiet.

On a serious note....do you know anyone close by with them also...so you can compare?
I have been told that new mufflers need to be "SEASONED". My cousin has bought many more muffler systems for Porsche's...and I swear the longer he had them the deeper the tone got. Hey...I read it on the internet so it must be true!!!

You'd be surprised how much the resonator reduces the sound even though it is straight through when you look at it. I had muffler eliminators and and x pipe and it was awful and too loud. I put a resonator on with the elims and it is now perfect for me. Not too loud when crusing, but lets you know I'm coming when I get on it.

Sounds really good to me. A lot of the exhaust kits for Vettes are designed to be mild at idle but aggressive at WOT. If you dont find it aggressive enough for your tastes, try Flowmaster 40's. You'll get some resonance but I guarantee you it'll be MUCH louder and more aggressive than just about any other muffler.

yes im positive they are borlas, the xpipe goes on tomorrow, so im excited about that.. im gonna look for some pics with borla on and see how it sits.. ill let everyone know tomorrow how it sounds.

got everything takin care of today, exhaust is starting to sound much better, resonator is off, pipes are in place.. and it looks beautiful now. Exhaust shop did me real good, perfect placement and i am very happy now.. just kinda unhappy that the setup needed to be modified.
